Through our global #GoyaGives program, supporting students has always gone beyond meeting immediate needs—it is about creating stability, dignity, and the conditions that allow learning to continue, even in times of uncertainty.
As families across New York City faced the financial impact of the Coronavirus epidemic, Goya Gives took action to support students during a critical moment. In anticipation of the challenges ahead, we donated 18,225 meals to students from six New York City high schools, helping ensure they had access to nutritious food while continuing their education.
Food security plays a vital role in a student’s ability to focus, learn, and thrive. By providing consistent support during a period of disruption, this initiative helped relieve pressure on families and allowed students to remain engaged in their academic and creative development. When basic needs are met, young people are better positioned to participate fully in learning environments that foster growth, expression, and resilience.
At Goya Gives, responding in moments of crisis is part of our responsibility—but so is investing in the long-term well-being of students and communities. Initiatives like this reflect our commitment to empowering youth by supporting both their immediate needs and their future potential.
As we continue our work globally, we remain focused on standing with students and families when it matters most—helping create pathways where learning, creativity, and opportunity can continue, even in the most challenging times.
